Sade Adebimpe: I am Peter Olusade Adebimpe, a Nigerian. I hold a master’s degree in communication arts. My first degree was in English. I have worked in several places before now. I was a lecturer in communication arts for so many years in a polytechnic in my country. I left the classroom to join the National Population Commission in my country from 1991 to 2007 where I retired as a Deputy Director, Public Affairs. Still not tired, I currently lecture at a private university in my home town. I am working in the Mass Communication Department. I have flares for writing poems, but I have not really utilised this talent in me. I have written and discarded many poems. Reason being that, from my own point of view, they were not up to standard, but I later came to realise that my point of view about them might be faulty. So I made up my mind to start writing again and leave all judgements to my audience. My mission is to start writing to my international friends on happenings in my environment as naturally as the events unfold to me. I promise to be as objective as possible, and will avoid imitating any known poet. I want to create my own unique style, and I want my friends to accept me as I am.
